東急文化会館跡地に建設され、エンターテイメント性の強い高層複合施設として注目を集める「渋谷ヒカリエ」。4月26日の開業によって、館内11階〜16階には客席数1,972席を有するミュージカル劇場「東急シアターオーブ」が、9階・10階には都内最大級のイベントホール「ヒカリエホール」が、8階には「クリエイティブな才能を社会につなぐこと」を目指し、多目的スペース「コート」を中心に、ミュージアム、アートギャラリー、ワークスペース、カフェ、デザインショップから成る複合スペース「8/（はち）」が相次いで誕生する。
