Ahead of the weekend's "Kinao Sakura Festival", Shibuya's famous tree "Kinao Sakura" is in full swing

The "Kingo Sakura" in the precinct of the Kingo Hachimangu Shrine is in full bloom.

The Kingo Hachimangu Shrine, which is a “President God” who protects the land of Shibuya, is part of the “Ijo Shibuya Castle Fort” of the Samurai family, who have reigned the present Shibuya, Aoyama and Daikanyama areas from the late Heian period. Since its reign, it has a long history of 927 years. One cherry blossom, which is called "King'n Sakura", which simultaneously has a double cherry blossom and a double cherry blossom next to the office, was designated as a natural monument in Shibuya Ward in 1982. After the opening of Kamakura, Tsujiya Kinohmaru Tsunemitsu was ordered by the source Yoritomo to avenge Yoshitsune. Yoritomo thanked the allegiance of the King of the Golden King and sweared, "Keep the name for the rest of the world," and in 1189 he planted a cherry tree from Kamakura in the Kingo Hachimangu Shrine and named it "Kinoh Sakura". It is counted as one of the "Edo three major cherry blossoms", and it is said that it has been bred and succeeded from generation to generation today and has reached today.

Kimo Sakura has reached full bloom a little earlier than Somei Yoshino. On the weekend of March 30 (Saturday) and 31 (Sunday), the “Kinao Sakura Festival”, an annual event to announce spring, will be held. Every year, there are many times when the full bloom time and the cherry blossom festival do not match, but it seems to be the best time this year.

At the festival, there are stalls where you can enjoy “feasts of Hanami” (baked chicken, yakisoba, pork soup, cotton candy, etc.), as well as events such as operas, chopsticks, and karaoke. Furthermore, on the first day 30 (11:30 to 14:00), a yearly reading of the "Kinao Maru-son image" is also performed.

It is forecasted that Some Yoshino will be on the weekend. Why not take a walk around the cherry blossom spots around Shibuya, such as Kinno Hachimangu Shrine, Sakuragaokacho, Sakurazaka, Matsushima Park, and Yoyogi Park.
