“Shibuya Summer Festival powered by mixi GROUP in Yoyogi Park” will be held on August 18th at Yoyogi Park Keyaki Namiki. Sponsored by Meiji Dori Miyashita Park Shop Association.

The festival, which has had “Miyashita Koen” as its main venue, has been moved to Yoyogi Park since 2017 for full-scale construction of the “Miyashita Park Improvement Project” associated with the redevelopment of the Shibuya area. This is the fifth time this year.

The event is based on the theme of “Shibuya's summer tradition that can be enjoyed in 3 generations from children to adults” In addition to traditional traditional Bon Odori dances and mock shops, Shibuya and other artists have a free live performance. It is a summer festival like Shibuya that mixes tradition and the latest culture.

During the Bon Odori time (16: 20-16: 50/19: 30-20: 20), Takao Tajima (17: 30-18) who led the 90's "Shibuya music" on the main stage (10:10), Sutada Draper (18: 50-19: 30) will perform live performance.

Inside the venue, you can find authentic Thai food, okonomiyaki, yakisoba, pizza, rice cakes, squid and fried food stalls. DJ Bar “Higashimaya”, which is open in the live house “TSUTAYA O-EAST”, will open as a branch office and offer draft beer, craft beer and original cocktails. In addition, there are also plans and contents that excite the festival, such as “Looking for Dwarfs and Dwarfs” from traditional mock shops such as shaved ice, cotton candy, super ball scoop, and lottery.
