More fun Shibuya! People who work, learn people, play information site for people

You can borrow it in Shibuya and return it in Shibuya! "Stroller share" service changes child outing! ?

Shibuya has many popular shops and hot spots and good convenience. Many people will have the impression of "a city that can be enjoyed casually."

On the other hand, in SNS, there are many voices saying "Going to Shibuya with a stroller. Traveling by train and moving around the city is also very hard."

To open a hole in such a situation, a sharing service for baby strollers, "Share Buggy," is about to be born in Shibuya.

"Share Buggy" is a service that can be said to be a stroller version of shared cycling, and users can borrow strollers from multiple favorite ports installed in the city and return them to their favorite ports.

Babydoor Co., Ltd. (Toshima-ku, Tokyo) is currently conducting a demonstration experiment to launch this service in Shibuya. The experiment is 11 days from March 10-20, 2019. Two strollers that can be used for up to 12 hours at 1,000 yen (excluding tax) are installed in front of the central entrance ticket gate of Keio INOKASHIRA LINE Shibuya Station, and reviews from users are collected.

Procedures such as confirmation of availability, settlement, lending, and return can all be exchanged within a dedicated app.

仕 組 み Tap the unlock button displayed after payment, the mechanism of opening the key of the port for 5 minutes. It is safe because you can consult the service center even if time has passed.

The provided stroller is the Combi Facility Stroller SC51. It is a type that can be used from 1 month old.

説明 Instructions for the stroller are prepared next to the port
Babydoor Ltd., which is conducting this experiment, is a company that offers rental and sale of baby products. Why did you decide to launch "Share Buggy" in Shibuya? We spoke to Ami Nakagawa, President and Representative Director, including future prospects.

_ First of all, please tell us how you thought you wanted to offer this service.
The reason is that customers who used our baby products rental service provided us with the voice of "I would like to borrow a stroller more easily, I want to return it". Since rental goods are exchanged by mail, the customer takes time and effort. Therefore, we thought that services incorporating share cycling mechanisms could meet the needs of customers.

_ Why were you supposed to launch from Shibuya?
It is big that interest in the stroller share was rising in Shibuya-ku. We have been planning and developing "Share Buggy" about a year ago, and I feel that what I said "I want to do" in various places is connected now.

_Are there any issues that have been seen from the demonstration experiments?
As we receive feedback on the installation location, number of ports, and price aspect of the port, we are considering using them to provide services that meet the needs of our users. Also, with many questions about cleaning the stroller, I realized that I needed more emphasis on the announcement. Although the stroller used once can not be used until the cleaning is over, I would like to establish a system to properly convey this point.

_ When is “Share Buggy” going into full swing?
We are preparing for the start of May 2019, but since we want to firmly reflect the service obtained in this demonstration test, we will provide information as soon as the situation is ready.

"Share Buggy" which was devised from the voice of the customer. Some users say that the app is easy to use, and the service and the system seem to match the needs of the parenting generation. Mr. Nakagawa says, "If you return your stroller under the stairs, for example, and you can borrow it again, you may be more free to enjoy Shibuya by the parenting generation." The spread of "Share Buggy" is likely to be a bridge to "feel free to go out with children".
