More fun Shibuya! People who work, learn people, play information site for people

This year's illuminations pay attention to "color change"! Sakura Hill is “Pink”, Park Street is “Blue”, etc.

The cold became more severe and it was time for the illuminations to shine. Shibuya this fall will boil in the opening rush of “ SHIBUYA SCRAMBLE SQUARE ”, “Shibuya Parco” and “Shibuya Fuclas”. Amid the bustle of more than usual, the area around Shibuya Station is titled “SHIBUYA WINTER ILLUMINATION 2019-2020 COLLECTIONS”. Decoration with illuminations has started.

In particular, Dogenzaka is the first in 11 years since 2008, and the illuminations of the roadside trees along the Daisen Kaido are on for a long time. It is lighted up by the number of visitors that increase in the opening rush hour.

The special feature of this year's Shibuya Winter Illumination is that shopping streets and commercial facilities, etc., are the main actors, and the light-up color and direction are changed in various ways. I would like to show you the features of each area.

There are 103 “Tsurara Lights” shining with 300 LED bulbs along the promenade, creating a fantastic sight as if a gold waterfall is pouring into the Shibuya River.

At the same time, you can enjoy “STREAM of LIGHTS” for Christmas 2019 on the large stairs of the SHIBUYA STREAM. Featuring a Christmas-style experience, such as Santa Claus and a snowman moving with the movement of the person. Shibuya River Stream will be on until January 31, 2020. SHIBUYA STREAM Grand Stairs will be on Christmas until December 25th. Both times are from 16:30 to 23:00.

| Shibuya Chuo-gai is in full bloom with “Wisteria”, Sakuragaoka Town with “Cherry Blossoms”

“Shibuya Chuo-gai” spreads behind Shibuya Fuclas. This is an adult town where many restaurants and bars are gathered and crowded with office workers every night. The redevelopment has improved the sidewalk, making it easier to walk around the city than before.

The purple light from the street lights hangs down like a wisteria.

In the “Shibuya Station Sakuraokaguchi area”, which aims to open in 2023, buildings that were once crowded with restaurants are being demolished, and a vast open space is spreading in the area adjacent to the station.
