From November 1, Human Trust Cinema Shibuya has released "Nymphomaniac Vol. 2", the latest work by director Lars von Trier who won the Cannes International Film Festival Palm d'Or in "Dancer in the Dark". It
The film is based on the theme of female sexuality. It is divided into eight chapters and divided into two parts. The first half of the film depicts the heroine's adventures from her teenage years to her twenties, while the second half depicts her days of decadence and agony after that. It depicts the life of a woman who identifies as a nymphomaniac.
On a freezing winter evening, an elderly single man, Seligman (Stellan Skarsgård), finds a woman, Jo (Charlotte Gainsbourg), lying injured in a back alley. He takes care of her in his apartment and asks her when she recovers. "What on earth happened?" Jo then begins to candidly tell the story of her upbringing. It is the amazing and strange story of a woman who has had a strong interest in "sex" since she was a child and has had countless sexual experiences...
While he has received many international awards, director Trier is also known for his provocative and ironic style of work. Be enthralled by his visual world that explores human life through the mysterious and unfathomable subject of sex.

From November 1st, Theater Image Forum will be showing "Of Horses and Men," a film that tells the story of horses and humans from the horse's perspective.
The director and screenwriter is Benedikt Erlingsson, the most successful director in Icelandic theater, known for his unique sense of humor. He is also active as a playwright and actor, and this is his long-awaited directorial debut.
The story is set in Iceland, where horses and humans live together in harmony. As spring arrives in a village, a love story begins. A single man, Kolbein (Ingvar E. Sigurdsson), is attracted to a widowed woman with a child, Solveig (Charlotte Boving), and she is also attracted to him. However, while the whole village is watching the development of this love with great interest, the love between the horses takes the lead. Just as Kolbein is riding his prized mare, Grauna, from Solveig's house and heading home in style, Solveig's stallion, Brown, charges at Grauna and they make love. Kolbein is so shocked that he can no longer even look at Solveig. What will become of their love? Other scenes in the story include a man who takes reckless action with his beloved horse for vodka, and a chase scene involving horses and tractors. This is a group drama that is running simultaneously. The humans reflected in the horse's clear, calm eyes appear comical and foolish, but that makes both horses and humans seem all the more lovable.
No matter what the end of each story, in the fall, everything is over. The storyline is unpredictable, the story tells the story of a tragedy, a comedy, a horse and a person equally, and the last big circle where the villagers and horses gather is spectacular. From the horse's point of view, I want to feel the activities of creatures that are common to both horses and humans.

Starting November 15th, Shibuya Cine Palace will be showing "Kami no Tsuki," a film based on the original work by Naoki Prize-winning author Kakuta Mitsuyo, which also attracted attention at the Tokyo International Film Festival.
The director is Daihachi Yoshida, known for "Kirishima, Bukatsu Yamerutteyo." Starring Rie Miyazawa, who is starring in a film for the first time in seven years, the film depicts the life of a housewife whose life falls apart due to a trivial act of vanity towards a younger university student.
The story is set in 1994, just after the collapse of the bubble economy. Umezawa Rika, a housewife living with her husband, works as a contract employee at a bank, doing outside work. Rika's attention to detail and careful work have earned her the trust of her customers and she is also highly regarded by her superiors. Although Rika seems to be living a comfortable life, she begins to feel a sense of emptiness between her and her husband, who shows little interest in her. One day, Rika meets a younger university student, Kota. While spending time with Kota, Rika accidentally uses the savings of a client. At first, she only borrows 10,000 yen, but from that day on, her sense of money and her daily life gradually become distorted...
What did an ordinary housewife really want to gain from the massive embezzlement case she committed? The image of a woman who actively descends into depravity while carrying both holiness and evil may reflect the deep karma that resides within all of us.
