Mommy Daddy and baby dance on Bunkamura Street

On October 20th around Shibuya Station, a music event "The 14th Shibuya Music Festival 2019-Shibuya Music Scramble-" is held. As part of the music festival program, a “Babywearing Dance” was held at the Bunkamura Dori venue where dad moms hold their baby and dance together.

In recent years, there are various problems surrounding child-rearing, such as reactions in the vicinity of crying babies in trains and public facilities, and troubles in strollers, maternity marks and priority seats on trains. “Baby Wearing Dance” is to create a happy atmosphere for participating moms and dads and the audience watching it with the message “Child-raising is more fun and positive for society”. Aiming to carry out since last year.

About 50 moms and dads gathered in advance recruited dressed in colorful costumes and appeared with their baby in front. We performed dances with Nori songs that can be danced with parents and children, such as Genji Yonezu's publica. Some of the participating mom dads did not have any dance experience, but it was very impressive that they danced happily in public.

Voices were heard from the surrounding audience, such as "Baby is cute" and "Mama's dance is amazing!"

In the second half of the event, RYUCHELL, a talent star who acts as an ambassador for the art festival, also participated in collaboration with "True Colors Festival-Super Diversity Arts Festival" (hosted by Nippon Foundation). Last year, RYUCHELL, who became the father of a child, said that the number of children who loved children has increased, saying that after children were born, other children became cute.

On this day, RYUCHELL sang the original song “Link” with the name of the eldest son Link-kun, and 50 mom dads collaborated in dance to that song. The song is not confused by the voices of the world, and has gained a lot of sympathy as a message song for children, "Let's live a life that no one else has."

Despite the declining birthrate, the reality is that the environment for raising children with peace of mind is still far away. Nonetheless, if the party, Mom Papa, is pessimistic, there are no children or children. The event appealed to "positive and fun child-rearing".
