"Shibuya scramble intersection" reproduction for filming such as movies in Ashikaga City

The Shibuya scramble intersection is not only Japanese films but also overseas, such as the movie "Lost in Translation" (2003) directed by Sofia Coppola, "Babel" (2006) and "Biohazard 4" (2010). It often appears as a movie location. It can be said that the scenery symbolizes the present Tokyo, so to speak.

On the other hand, in the last few years, many people gather at the W cup soccer, Halloween, countdown, etc. at the Shibuya scramble intersection, and various problems such as garbage problems, riots and perverts erupt. From the 20th of June in Shibuya Ward, which received such a situation seriously, with the Tokyo Olympics ahead of the next year, the ordinance prohibiting drinking on the streets etc. has been enacted only during the Halloween period.

Not only domestic but also overseas productions have increased their desire for shooting at "Shibuya scrambled intersection", but shooting at Shibuya scrambled intersection with various problems is much more difficult to get permission than before It is said. I think that there are not many cases in which shooting is carried out in a guerrilla manner if it is a small-scale work, but its use as a location is more severe as it becomes a major work such as an overseas movie.

In order to break down the current situation, Nouvelle Vag, a video production company, was searching for a place where it could reproduce the whole of Shibuya City as a set somewhere, and with the cooperation of shooting invitation in Ashikaga City, Tochigi Prefecture , It is said that the open set construction of a large-scale Shibuya scramble intersection was realized this time. The open set built in Ashikaga City, Isobe, used part of the racetrack site and has an area of 15,000 square meters.

It is said that the cityscape in front of the station is reproduced, including the Hachiko square, the arch at the entrance to the Shibuya Center Town, and the shops, mainly at the Shibuya scramble intersection. In the future, this set will be used to shoot various video works. The shooting invitation period is scheduled until December this year.

Currently, only image parsing is available, but it's about what kind of open set is actually built. If there is a public tour, I would like to participate.
